Snr Director Analyst – Data Center Compute (Europe) Gartner analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-have research and provide guidance to world-leading organizations. Analysts identify gaps, challenges, and solutions within their markets, helping clients make informed decisions aligned to their top business priorities. As an analyst, you translate Gartner’s research, best practices, and tools into meaningful insights for clients.
Your work spans pragmatic research that solves today’s challenges and provocative research that reshapes assumptions about the future of compute infrastructure. This role requires expertise in server virtualization, server modernization, containers, hyper-converged infrastructure, distributed hybrid infrastructure, server hardware, and disaster recovery. What You Will Do Research, analyze, and forecast market trends to provide actionable insights to end‑user organizations and vendors.
Stay ahead of developments across core and adjacent emerging technology areas. Collaboratively write and publish evidence‑based research and analysis. Communicate complex concepts clearly and authoritatively to senior‑level executives.
Present at conferences as an industry expert. Partner with sales and service teams to support account growth, retention, and engagement. What You Will Need Bachelor’s degree. 12+ years of industry experience with a focus on core data center technologies in leading‑edge organizations.
Experience presenting technology and business adoption scenarios to senior IT leaders. Deep expertise in one or more of the following: hybrid & multi‑cloud infrastructure, server virtualization technologies, disaster recovery strategy. Knowledge of major and emerging vendors with the potential to disrupt the market.
Technical understanding of supercomputing approaches. Compensation and Benefits The base salary range for this role is $172,000–$202,500 USD. In addition to base salary, employees may participate in an annual bonus plan or a role‑based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
