Senior Python / Gen AI Backend Engineer (on-site in Pune)

Voters AI (https://votersai.com/), a silicon valley, USA based start-up is building a patent-pending, multi-tenant intelligence platform on AWS. We are hiring a senior Python engineer with generative-AI experience to build our serverless backend and AI features across our data and messaging systems. What you will do Build production Python services on AWS Lambda: data filtering and query services, email and SMS/MMS messaging pipelines, scheduling, and high-throughput sync and ingest consumers.

Build generative-AI features on AWS Bedrock (Claude) and comparable LLM APIs: real-time content classification and moderation, retrieval-augmented generation, and LLM-driven workflows. Work across three data planes: DynamoDB (NoSQL), Amazon RDS PostgreSQL (relational), and ClickHouse (analytics) — modeling, querying, and optimizing each. Design and document REST APIs on API Gateway and integrate third-party APIs (messaging, email, payments, data vendors).

Engineer for correctness and scale: strict multi-tenant data isolation, idempotency and deduplication, and high concurrency. Required experience Minimum 5 years of professional backend engineering experience is required; expert in Python (3.12+) and production AWS Lambda / serverless (boto3). Demonstrated generative-AI / LLM application experience: AWS Bedrock or the Anthropic / OpenAI APIs — prompt engineering, few-shot design, tool and function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation of model output.

Strong in BOTH NoSQL and relational databases: DynamoDB (single-table design, GSIs) AND PostgreSQL (schema design, complex SQL, transactions). REST API design and implementation behind API Gateway; integrating third-party APIs. Testing and version-control discipline.

Preferred ClickHouse or other OLAP / columnar analytics; large-scale query optimization. Vector stores and embeddings; retrieval-augmented generation over mixed structured and unstructured data. Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Geospatial work (routing, Mapbox); multi-tenant SaaS; political-technology or regulated-communications experience. You will be working on patent pending technology. Strong Math background preferred.
