Job Description
A leading national parcel and logistics organization is seeking a Hub Manager, Operations to lead a high-volume, fast-paced, unionized hub environment in Etobicoke. This is a critical operations leadership role responsible for driving safety, service, accountability, and team performance in a major network facility handling a substantial share of daily volume. Due to the nature of the business, core work hours for this role will be afternoons and evenings.
The successful candidate will bring strong frontline operations leadership, a disciplined safety mindset, and the ability to lead a large team in a demanding, time-sensitive environment. This role requires a leader who can balance operational toughness with engagement, culture, and coaching. What Youโll Do: -Lead all hub operations across inbound, sortation, and outbound functions -Ensure a strong safety-first culture and full compliance with applicable health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures -Drive operational performance through KPI management, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution -Oversee labor planning, scheduling, and workforce productivity to align with volume demands -Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to supervisors and frontline employees -Partner with linehaul, last-mile, and customer service teams to ensure smooth network flow -Ensure adherence to SOPs, scan compliance, freight handling standards, and collective agreement requirements -Support engagement initiatives and help foster a positive, high-performance culture What You Bring: -Minimum 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in courier, parcel, warehouse, terminal, hub, dock, or cross-dock operations -Experience leading in a high-volume, time-sensitive, unionized environment -Strong knowledge of Ontario health and safety requirements and practical workplace safety leadership -A track record of improving service, productivity, and operational discipline -Confidence leading large frontline teams with a balance of accountability and people leadership -Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills -Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation or warehouse systems.
Nice to Have: -Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or business -Health & safety certifications such as JHSC, COR, or equivalent -Experience with linehaul coordination, last-mile networks, or cross-docking -First Aid / CPR certification and emergency response planning experience -P&L awareness or financial literacy Why This Role: This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity in a major hub operation where safety, execution, and culture matter every day.
