Equipment Repair / Engine Mechanic

Job Description Job Description Voorhees Hardware & Supply / VHR Rental is a growing equipment rental and hardware business seeking a dependable and experienced Equipment Repair and Engine Mechanic to join our team. This role is critical to maintaining our rental fleet and supporting customer repairs. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair engine equipment Experience on Bobcats, Skid steers, trenchers, chippers, backhoes, etc a plus Service 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines Work on equipment including: Lawn mowers (push & riding) Chainsaws, trimmers, blowers Generators and pressure washers Plate compactors, mini skid steers, and rental equipment Perform routine maintenance (oil, filters, spark plugs, carburetors) Inspect equipment for safety and rental readiness Track parts, labor, and job status Maintain a clean and organized shop Qualifications 2+ years engine repair experience (preferred) Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of major brands (Honda, Briggs & Stratton, Stihl, etc.) Ability to work independently and stay productive Ability to lift 50+ lbs What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Overtime opportunities Bonus incentives tied to performance Stable, year-round work Growing company with advancement potential Employee discounts Ideal Candidate Works efficiently without sacrificing quality Shows up consistently and takes ownership Comfortable in a fast-paced shop environment Interested in growing with a business (not just a job) Schedule Monday – Friday Saturdays (seasonal demand) How to Apply Apply directly Ziprecruiter or contact us to schedule an interview.
