DevSecOps Engineer

Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for hands‑on DevSecOps or Security Engineering experience in a cloud‑native environment. We need strong CI/CD experience with tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar, including the ability to integrate security gates effectively. We require experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA tooling such as Snyk, Checkov, Trivy, Semgrep, or similar.

We are looking for infrastructure as code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar, and the ability to identify misconfigurations before production. We need container and Kubernetes security experience, including image scanning, runtime security, and network policies. We require cloud security experience, primarily in GCP, with AWS exposure also beneficial.

We need experience with secret management tools such as HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or similar. We are looking for knowledge of Fintech compliance requirements such as PCI-DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001. We require scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.

We need someone who can translate effectively between security and engineering teams and earn respect from both. We are seeking someone who is comfortable working in a regulated environment. A relevant technical background in security, DevOps, platform engineering, or a similar field would be highly valuable.

Responsibilities: We will expect you to work at the intersection of security and engineering, embedding security into every stage of delivery. We want you to collaborate with DevOps, Platform, and Security teams to strengthen our engineering environment. You will integrate security tooling into our CI/CD pipelines.

You will automate vulnerability detection across our delivery processes. You will help manage cloud security controls. You will support engineering teams in shipping quickly without compromising security.

You will identify and address misconfigurations before they reach production. You will help implement container and Kubernetes security controls. You will translate security requirements into practical engineering solutions.

You will contribute to building security into our SaaS platform from the start rather than treating it as an afterthought. This is a hybrid role with three days a week in our Manchester office, and it is commutable from Stockport, Wigan, Bolton, Rochdale, Bury, Sale, Liverpool, Warrington, and Runcorn. We are offering a salary of up to £80,000 plus benefits for someone exceptional who wants to make a real impact in a regulated Fintech environment.
