Project Manager

Double Clean Restoration Calgary is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team. This position involves a broad range of responsibilities for operational functions at Double Clean and is located in Calgary, Alberta. Your primary responsibilities and duties will include: Perform site inspections at the start of a project and create an accurate scope of work including sketches, pictures, etc.

Return visits to site are made to determine that the project is proceeding as expected by all stakeholders. Assure project legal documents are completed and signed and that these, along with other project documents, are complete. Create, edit, modify, and submit estimates using client designated estimating tools or traditional bid methods.

Manage expenses through negotiation skills with vendors and in-house staff. Minimize exposure and risk to health and safety by adhering to and enforcing the health and safety policies of Double Clean. Be available to respond to 24-hour emergency restoration and mitigation calls.

Continually develop knowledge and expertise in all technical and related fields of disaster restoration, including building science, procedures, equipment, and products. Educate the client on the processes of both the emergency work and the repair work to include timing of service delivery and realistic expectations. Assist in building and leading a high-quality team of sub-trades and ensure they satisfactorily maintain the image and standards of Double Clean Restoration.

Relationship Management Ensure that effective and timely communications are maintained with all stakeholders including property owners, property managers, and insurer representatives. Ensure that effective communications are maintained with Project Manager Assistant(s), sub-contractors, and employees so that projects are completed in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Ensure that all insurer-specific document and communication protocols are met or exceeded.

Ensure that all Double Clean-specific document and communication protocols are met or exceeded. Ensure that customer response to surveys conducted reflects well on the Company and the Project Manager. Build existing client relationships and generate new leads with adjusters and property managers.

Profitability Management Manage projects to maintain expected margins based on estimates or bids submitted and ensure any change orders requested are reflected with additional estimates. Ensure accurate invoicing is submitted on schedule and that the receivables for each project are collected in a timely manner. Review all job costs in relation to invoices prior to them being submitted for payment.

Ensure that all private work and deductibles are collected in compliance with Double Clean policies. Requirements Minimum 1–2 years of Project Management experience in the construction industry. Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Xactimate would be a definite asset.

Ability to prioritize effectively. Strong verbal and written skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and great attention to detail. IICRC Certified.
