Based in Toronto, RAI connects world-class manufacturing capability with premium retailers and brands across Canada, the USA, and Mexico. What you will own Lead fabric sourcing and development for RAI Build a curated swatch library with full technical data sheets Activate and manage relationships with premium global mill partners—particularly those operating at the performance and lifestyle-athletic tier in Turkey, Japan, Korea, Portugal and Taiwan Evaluate circular knit innovation (butter-soft, cool-touch, featherweight constructions) as a secondary platform Represent Renaissance at international trade fairs, including PremiĂšre Vision Paris, FFF New York / Portland, Intertextile Shanghai, MAGIC Las Vegas and Kingpins New York Translate every fabric candidate into a concise technical brief: handfeel notes, lab test results, product use-case anchoring and cost / MOQ view Partner with factory technical teams to move shortlisted fabrics into prototype production.

Serve as the material intelligence bridge between our Bangladesh manufacturing base and buyer-facing communication led from our Toronto office. What you bring 7+ years in fabric sourcing, raw material development or textile innovation—with direct exposure to premium or performance apparel brand development cycles Deep technical knowledge of fabric science: yarn systems, weave construction, finishing chemistry, sustainable fibre platforms (TENCELℱ, modal, recycled nylon, PFAS-free finishes) and RSL / OEKO-TEX compliance Hands-on ability to read and interpret lab test reports—pilling, abrasion, colorfastness, dimensional stability, seam performance and wash durability A live, productive global mill network — relationships that yield results, not just introductions Firsthand understanding of how premium brands evaluate and formally approve materials—you know the language, pace and expectations of that process Trade fair fluency—the ability to walk a floor with purpose, extract real intelligence and build relationships that outlast the show Excellent written communication—you can craft a compelling fabric story for both technical and commercial audiences without losing precision Strong asset: prior experience working with or supplying brands such as lululemon, Arc'teryx, Patagonia, Reiss, Aritzia or equivalent premium tier Strong asset: existing mill contacts in Turkey, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan or Portugal How to apply Send your CV and a brief note (not a cover letter) to [email protected] with the subject line: Fabric Specialist, RAI—Toronto.
