Job Description
Job Description We are seeking a senior project professional who can act as the central coordination and assurance lead across multiple disciplines, stakeholders, and delivery partners. This role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and subject matter expertise across security infrastructure, enabling works, and fit-out programmes, with frequent travel required as part of nationwide delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex, multi-site Life Cycle Works programmes aligned to organisational and client strategic objectives.
Act as the central communication and coordination hub, aligning internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to maintain clarity, momentum, and accountability. Oversee project performance across schedules, costs, risks, dependencies, and benefits realisation, ensuring compliance with PMO standards and governance frameworks. Provide subject matter expertise across enabling works, security systems, fire and life safety systems, and fabric and fit-out works.
Manage stakeholders at all levels, setting project vision, managing expectations, and resolving issues through proactive engagement. Lead CDM compliance and health & safety performance across large-scale, high-security, multi-site environments. Manage project budgets exceeding £1m, including cost control, forecasting, financial reporting, and value-for-money assurance.
Drive continuous improvement by embedding best-practice project management methodologies, lessons learnt, and emerging tools into delivery. Financial Management, Risk, and Assurance Define and manage project budgets and funding aligned to approved business cases. Monitor expenditure, forecast costs, and provide clear financial reporting to senior leadership.
Identify, assess, and mitigate delivery, financial, and compliance risks. Lead audits, gateway reviews, and assurance activities. Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (advantageous).
SMSTS certification. CSCS card. Relevant training or certifications in security installations.
Full UK driving licence and willingness and ability to undertake frequent nationwide travel. Experience Senior-level (Tier 2) reporting, presentation, proposal writing, and evaluation. Strong commercial acumen with proven financial management capability, including budget control and forecasting.
Extensive experience managing large-scale, multi-site projects across geographically dispersed locations. Expertise in the design, coordination, and installation of security systems, including CCTV, access control, intruder detection, and high-security fencing. Experience coordinating fire and life safety systems design and installation.
Proven leadership in CDM compliance and health & safety management across complex, high-risk environments. Track record of managing project budgets in excess of £1m. Strong understanding of construction processes, with the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
