Job Description
Key Responsibilities Design and price new insurance products across General Insurance portfolios Provide actuarial support to business units to drive profitable growth and recommend corrective actions where required Analyze the performance of portfolios, lines of business, products, underwriters, TPAs, and branches Conduct profitability analysis and provide actionable insights to management Monitor claims experience, loss trends, and emerging risks to support business decisions Provide actuarial guidance and recommendations on strategic and operational matters Support external actuaries with actuarial reviews, reporting, and regulatory requirements Perform statistical analysis including business performance monitoring, business mix analysis, and actual versus expected comparisons Support IFRS 17 implementation and ongoing compliance initiatives Review and validate actuarial assumptions, methodologies, and parameters used under IFRS 17 Calculate and monitor quarterly IBNR reserves across all lines of business Prepare actuarial reports and presentations for management decision-making Contribute to continuous improvement of actuarial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, or a related discipline (UAE attested) Fellowship qualification from the Society of Actuaries (SOA) with completion of relevant professional examinations Minimum 10 years of actuarial experience within the insurance industry, preferably in the UAE market Strong expertise in Motor and Medical insurance lines Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, QlikView, or similar analytical tools Strong knowledge of actuarial pricing, reserving, statistical analysis, and profitability management Experience supporting IFRS 17 implementation and actuarial reporting requirements Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
