Senior Structural Engineer (10‑15 Years) – hybrid work schedule in Fulton, MD or Duluth, GA. Candidates must be a United States Citizen or Green Card Holder, hold an active Professional Engineer (PE) license, and have proven experience in business development. Base Pay Range $100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Job Description We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with ten to fifteen years of experience for our client’s D.C.

Metro or Duluth, GA offices. The ideal candidate will be a self‑motivated team player looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm. The successful individual will work closely with our business development team and other discipline leaders to develop technical proposals and take a proactive role in marketing and business development.

This role provides an opportunity to help build and mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals within a collaborative multi‑discipline office. The candidate will work directly with clients providing consulting services. Qualifications Perform the following functions: Structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & industrial projects.

Design of steel, concrete, and masonry commercial/institutional, federal and industrial buildings, both in new and existing construction. Design experience with light gauge steel and timber is a plus. Strong ability to interpret technical drawings.

Manage project team for budget and schedule control. Develop fee and qualification‑based proposals. Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well‑coordinated and high‑quality set of structural drawings.

Able to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment. Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities. Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint software preferred. Must understand database concepts. Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files.

Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale. Ability to travel. Work closely with other client offices, such as Raleigh and Atlanta structural groups, to complete projects and tasks.

Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program required. Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE). 10 to 15 years of structural engineering experience. Experience with computer software programs and analysis systems (such as RISA, AutoCAD, Revit, RAMSS, ETABS, ENERCALC).

Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time‑management skills. Project Management experience and/or certifications. Desire to lead inter‑disciplinary projects and project teams.

Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus. Active local industry involvement is a plus. Approximate Base Salary of $100,000‑$150,000 based on experience.

Salary will be determined based on qualifications and relevant experience. Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate. Competitive end‑of‑year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
