Manager, Content Strategy We are seeking a highly skilled designer and strategist to lead creative initiatives for our consulting clients. The Manager partners with consulting teams to shape communication strategies, structure complex content, and produce high‑impact executive deliverables. This role balances project ownership with hands‑on design creation and refinement.
Key Responsibilities Own end‑to‑end delivery of creative projects, balancing priorities, managing timelines, and ensuring consistent quality and execution. Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards for accuracy, professionalism, creativity, and client service. Serve as a trusted thought partner to consulting teams, helping shape storylines, strengthen recommendations, and improve overall effectiveness of client‑facing deliverables.
Apply advanced design and storytelling expertise to create polished, visually compelling deliverables, including executive presentations, visual frameworks, data visualizations, and strategic communication materials. Navigate ambiguity by asking questions, organizing information, simplifying complexity, and guiding teams toward actionable solutions. Collaborate with internal partners—Knowledge Management, Account Management, Sales Operations, and Consulting Operations—to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment across Sales and Delivery Enablement materials.
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members through coaching, feedback, and best‑practice sharing, contributing to the continued growth of the Content Strategy function. Explore and apply AI‑enabled and emerging technologies to improve content development workflows, efficiency, and overall deliverable quality. Qualifications 7+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in consulting, professional services, agency, or complex corporate environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead design for complex, high‑visibility projects and provide strategic creative guidance. Strong experience translating abstract ideas, data, and insights into visually compelling and easy‑to‑understand materials. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft PowerPoint; experience designing executive‑level presentations is required.
Experience with digital, video, or motion design tools (e.g., After Effects, Premiere) is a plus. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams. Strong conceptual thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments.
A portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, storytelling, and execution across print, digital, and presentation‑based design. Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authority in the United States and with Kaufman Hall. Education Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field required.
Physical Requirements Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations. Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing and typing. Visual acuity required to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Work Environment Travel Required: Occasional 0‑10%. Role is based in Chicago or Denver, requiring 3 days per week in office. Work regularly performed in a hybrid environment (office and home) with routine use of standard office equipment.
