AI Integration & Solutions Engineer Position type: 12 month. Start date: August 2026. Compensation: $80,942 - $99,154 Home Office Grade 8.
Opportunity Design, deploy and support AI-enabled solutions that solve organizational needs and strengthen district operations. Provide end-to-end AI integration from evaluation through rollout, documentation and continuous improvement, ensuring responsible and sustainable adoption. Responsibilities Lead applied AI integration across instructional and operational workflows.
Design, build, and deploy AI-enabled solutions and agents using approved platforms. Maintain a district portfolio of AI solutions, including reference solutions, reusable patterns, and guardrail-aligned templates. Vet AI tools, features, and embedded capabilities through the software intake and portfolio review process.
Evaluate AI capabilities within existing platforms to assess value, overlap, readiness, and required guardrails. Advise on buy vs build decisions. Embed responsible AI practices by designing guardrails into solutions and modeling human-AI collaboration.
Support pilots, phased rollouts, and post-deployment feedback loops. Enable organizational readiness through training, playbooks, and example use cases. Monitor AI tools connectivity across the technology ecosystem and surface risks.
Serve as escalation point for emergent AI issues. Maintain clear documentation of solution designs and integration dependencies. Collaborate with Enterprise Systems Engineer and broader team on integration patterns and data readiness.
Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelorβs degree from an accredited four-year institution. At least 2 years of hands-on experience building AI agents or LLM-based solutions.
Experience evaluating AI tools and embedded platform features. Ability to integrate AI tools with enterprise platforms such as M365, Google Workspace, or SIS/LMS systems. Experience translating business or instructional needs into AI-enabled workflows.
Strong communication skills for translating technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders. Initiative, planning, documentation, and leadership from ambiguity to completion. Openness to feedback.
Strong judgment on responsible AI, data privacy, security, and change management. Desired Post-graduate degree in educational technology, information systems, business, public administration, or related field. Experience in K-12 education or mission-driven nonprofit.
Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms such as Power Automate, Make, or n8n. Background in enterprise systems, integration or solution design. Relevant AI or automation certification.
