Duties and Responsibilities Establish and grow a client base of individuals, organizations, associations, social and/or corporate businesses through direct outside and inside selling to secure business for the hotel and meet or exceed room‑night sales and revenue goals. Actively prospect and qualify new business.

Achieve personal and team goals as assigned. Negotiate guest room rates, meeting space rental, function space, and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines. Accurately produce and review all sales contracts, rate agreements, and banquet/catering event orders.

Monitor and handle inquiry calls and provide client proposals in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures. Produce reports and sales forecasts for assigned area of responsibility. Participate in forecasting, goal setting, the annual budget process, and development of sales and marketing plans.

Perform other duties as assigned. Serve as manager on duty as required. Work closely with other hotel departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients, disseminating sales‑related information to other departments as appropriate.

Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off‑site presentations for potential clients, entertaining clients in accordance with company and hotel policies and guidelines. Maintain client files and update information daily in accordance with departmental policies and procedures; produce sales‑related reports and forecasts. Attend and represent the hotel at trade shows, conventions and sales trips to key feeder markets.

Follow up with clients regularly during and after departure to ensure satisfaction and secure future bookings. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Interact with outside contacts such as guests, airlines, wholesalers, corporate accounts, travel agencies, ad agencies, and professional organizations, ensuring repeat business and event follow‑up.

Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, and four years total experience working with a large or diverse market segments, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in hospitality or hotel sales and marketing. Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred. Physical Requirements Frequently standing up or moving within and outside the facility.

Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds. Other Requirements Strong communication skills; ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties while reflecting highly on the hotel and brand. Proficient reading and writing abilities for completing paperwork, management reports, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions, and training.

Basic mathematical skills including budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages and variances. Problem‑solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities. Willingness to travel to workshops, tradeshows and conventions.

Hourly pay rate for this role is $38.46. This rate applies to jobs performed in Nashville, TN.

The posted rate is an estimate of the starting pay in good faith; it may be higher or lower in the future.
