Data Engineer with Purview Developer and Data Governance

Job Title: Data Engineer with Purview Developer and Data Governance Experience: 6–8 Years Location: India, Remote Role Summary: Support the governance discovery engagement by analyzing existing systems and documenting the organization’s current data landscape. This role focuses on system analysis, data inventory, and documentation of current processes. Key Responsibilities: System Analysis Analyze the organization’s three primary business systems and SharePoint repositories.

Identify data sources, system owners, and key datasets. Document system interactions and dependencies. Experience working with financial or investment organizations is must.

Data Inventory Perform inventory of data stored within Microsoft 365 environments. Identify sensitive datasets and data sharing patterns. Document data ownership and access patterns.

AS-IS Process Documentation Document current data lifecycle processes including creation, sharing, and archival. Capture how business teams manage entity definitions and data relationships. Entity & Data Definition Analysis Analyze entity definitions used across systems.

Identify inconsistencies in terminology and data definitions. Support development of a standardized business glossary. Documentation Support Produce documentation including: System inventories Data flow diagrams Process maps Data dictionaries Provide analytical inputs for: Governance gap analysis Architecture evaluation Required Experience: 3–6 years experience in data analysis, business analysis, or system analysis.

Strong documentation and process mapping skills. Experience analyzing enterprise data systems and SharePoint environments. Understanding of data modeling concepts and relational data structures.
