Job Description Job Description Position : Finance Analyst β Project Finance & MIS Reporting To: CFO Location: Kolkata, West Bengal Experience Required: 2β5 Years About the Role: Sunshell Power is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Analyst β Project Finance & MIS to support the CFO in financial planning, project finance analytics, investor reporting, treasury analytics, and strategic decision-making. The role is designed for professionals with strong exposure to project finance, financial modelling, lender coordination, MIS, and infrastructure/renewable energy analytics. The position will play a critical role in strengthening the companyβs analytical finance function while supporting fund raising, SPV monitoring, and strategic growth initiatives.
This is a high-impact analytical role and is not intended for routine accounting or payment operations . Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Modeling & Project Finance Analytics Responsibilities Prepare detailed project financial models for renewable energy projects Perform IRR, DSCR, tariff, and sensitivity analysis Support debt sizing and scenario analysis Conduct: RESCO project modelling PPA viability analysis Refinancing impact analysis Equity return analysis Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accurate and reliable project financial models Faster turnaround for lender/investor requirements Standardized financial modelling templates 2.
CMA Data & Lender Financials Responsibilities Prepare CMA data and projected financial statements Conduct financial ratio analysis Support bank renewal documentation and QIS submissions Prepare lender financial notes and presentations KPIs Timely CMA submissions Reduced dependency on external consultants Improved quality of lender presentations 3. MIS & FP&A Responsibilities Prepare monthly MIS reports Perform budget vs. actual analysis Monitor cash flow reporting and business performance Track cost variances and department-wise spending KPIs Timely monthly MIS reporting Improved variance visibility Enhanced management decision support 4. Project Profitability Tracking Responsibilities Track project-wise profitability and EPC margins Compare estimated vs. actual margins Analyze cost overruns and execution efficiency KPIs Monthly project profitability tracker Early identification of low-margin or stressed projects 5.
SPV-Wise Financial Analytics Responsibilities Track SPV-wise revenues and expenses Monitor DSCR and debt servicing obligations Conduct SPV cash flow analysis KPIs Monthly SPV dashboard reporting Early identification of stressed SPVs 6. Treasury Analytics Support Responsibilities Support cash flow forecasting and fund utilization tracking Assist in debt repayment planning Track interest costs and banking analytics KPIs Improved treasury forecasting accuracy Better liquidity visibility and planning 7. ERP & Automation Support Responsibilities Support MIS automation initiatives Assist in ERP reporting structures and dashboard development Standardize reporting formats KPIs Reduced dependency on manual reporting Improved reporting consistency and automation 9. Reporting & Dashboard Management Responsibilities Prepare and maintain: Weekly finance dashboards Project finance dashboards Requirements Required Skills and Experience Experience: Extensive experience in substation design, usually in consulting firms or utilities. Software Proficiency: Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, PLS-CADD, ETAP, or specialized substation design software.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of IEC/IEEE standards, grounding, and high-voltage equipment specification. Experience: 8-10 years of experience in mechanical/civil drafting, specifically in power transmission, utility, or industrial projects.
