Data Migration Specialist

Position Objective Owns the end-to-end migration of data from legacy systems into the target platform. Responsible for designing, building and executing scalable migration pipelines while ensuring data integrity, auditability and business continuity. Key Responsibilities Own full lifecycle of data migration (analysis, mapping, transformation, validation, cutover) Design and build pipelines using Azure Data Factory Develop transformation logic using Python / PySpark Perform data profiling, cleansing and mapping across systems Implement validation, reconciliation and audit processes Troubleshoot and resolve migration issues Work with business and technical teams to define migration rules Document migration logic, mappings and processes Support migration planning, sequencing and cutover strategy Required Experience & Capability Strong experience with Azure Data Factory Strong SQL / SQL Server capability Experience with Python and/or PySpark Proven experience in large-scale data migration projects Strongly Desirable Apache Spark / Databricks experience ERP or legacy system migrations Salesforce data migration experience Familiarity with Fabric / Lakehouse architectures Understanding of data governance and compliance Profile Summary Migration-focused, not a generic data engineer Structured and methodical with messy legacy data Able to operate independently across migration waves
