Experience Range: 8 - 10 years About the Role: As Tech lead for DevOps Engineering, you will lead and grow a world-class engineering team within our Digital Innovation Centre. You will shape and nurture a team of specialists who deliver cutting-edge solutions for our business units, while fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous learning. The role is hands-on and requires autonomy, innovation, and collaboration, with a strong focus on clean, maintainable, and high-performance Cloud and DevOps Systems.
You are also responsible for contributing to the overall architecture and strategy of technical systems, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring solutions are aligned with Stolt-Nielsens business and technical goals. What Youll Do: Lead design, development, and deployment of Cloud and DevOps systems that meet business and technical requirements. Define and enforce best practices for DevOps engineering systems development within and across the team, ensuring high-quality delivery.
Collaborate with Architecture, DevOps, and Product engineering leadership to plan and prioritize technical deliverables (e.g., tools, frameworks, shared components, reusable assets) with consistent delivery standards and best practices. Provide mentorship and oversight to junior engineers and encourage growth. Facilitate technical discussions and resolve blockers during delivery phases.
Support resource allocation and project timelines while balancing technical scalability goals. Take full ownership of deliverables, resolving complex challenges with innovative and reliable solutions. Perform additional duties and strategic projects as assigned.
What Youll Bring: 8+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud and DevOps Engineering. Deep understanding of Azure PaaS architecture, DevOps, Networking, and governance. Hands-on expertise with Bicep, ARM templates, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation.
Experience implementing Azure Landing Zones and applying Cloud Adoption Framework principles: Solid grasp of networking concepts including routing, VNET peering, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity. Strong analytical thinking and collaborative problem-solving and documentation skills. Must Have Skills: Proficiency in CI/CD automation using Azure DevOps with scripting (PowerShell or Python).
Hands-on experience with Azure PaaS services (App Services, AKS, Functions, and Logic Apps). Solid understanding of Azure Networking (VNETs, Peering, hub-spoke, firewalls). Knowledge of Azure governance and security tools, including Policy, Blueprints, and Security Center.
Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (AKS) in Azure environments. Familiarity with monitoring and observability (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights). Good understanding of Cloud Adoption Framework, landing zones.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Relevant Microsoft Certifications: Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
