Commercial Tender Manager

As we continue to grow internationally, we are looking for a highly commercial and detail-oriented Commercial Tender Manager to strengthen our Commercial Team. This is a unique opportunity for someone with maritime industry experience who enjoys combining commercial thinking, client understanding, tender management, proposal writing, data analysis and professional presentation development.

The role As Commercial Tender Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating tenders, RFPs, RFQs and commercial proposals across our global organisation. Working closely with commercial, operational and finance teams worldwide, you will transform operational expertise and client requirements into compelling, professional and winning tender submissions. You will not be responsible for account management, but you will work closely with clients, prospects and commercial stakeholders to understand market requirements and develop customer-focused solutions that support S5 Agency World's growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities Tender & Proposal Management Lead the preparation, coordination and submission of tenders, RFPs, RFQs and commercial proposals. Analyse tender requirements and develop effective response strategies. Coordinate contributions from Operations, Finance, Commercial and Leadership teams.

Gather information from offices and stakeholders across the global S5 network. Ensure submissions are professional, accurate and delivered within deadlines. Maintain tender templates, standard responses and proposal libraries.

Client & Market Understanding Develop a strong understanding of customer needs, expectations and market trends. Use client and industry insights to strengthen proposals and commercial positioning. Participate in client meetings and commercial discussions when required.

Translate operational capabilities into customer-focused solutions. Commercial Content & Presentations Prepare clear, persuasive and professionally written tender responses and proposals. Develop high-quality PowerPoint presentations for clients, business reviews and commercial opportunities.

Ensure all materials align with S5 Agency World's brand and professional standards. Support the development of capability statements, commercial content and marketing materials. Commercial Support & Reporting Support Business Development and Commercial teams in pursuing new opportunities.

Maintain tender pipelines, opportunity trackers and submission records. Prepare commercial reports, Excel analyses and management presentations. Review tender outcomes and identify opportunities to improve proposal quality and win rates.

What we're looking for Experience Experience within maritime shipping, port agency, logistics or related maritime services. Proven experience preparing tenders, proposals, commercial presentations or business development materials. Strong understanding of customer requirements within the shipping and maritime sector.

Experience working across commercial, operational and finance functions. Experience producing professional bid documentation and commercial content. Skills Strong commercial awareness and customer focus.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Advanced PowerPoint and Excel capabilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to produce visually appealing and well-structured documents. Understanding of branding, corporate communication and presentation standards. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
