Position Summary: The Operations Supervisor Procurement is responsible for leading a remote team delivering Procure-to-Pay (P2P) services across the business. The role ensures procurement operations are completed accurately, within agreed timelines, and in compliance with company policies and procedures. It also focuses on driving continuous improvement, supporting team development, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Coach and support a remote procurement operations team. Allocate workloads and ensure equitable distribution of tasks. Provide ongoing feedback to the relevant Team Leader.
Ensure adequate team coverage across different time zones, leave periods, and absences. Service Delivery: Ensure purchase requests, purchase orders, and invoices are processed accurately and within agreed service levels. Manage incoming requests through ServiceNow, email, and other channels.
Monitor workloads, backlogs, and team priorities. Resolve operational issues and escalations in a timely manner. Vendor & Data Management: Oversee vendor onboarding and master data maintenance.
Ensure procurement data accuracy and compliance with governance standards. Collaborate with master data teams to resolve data-related issues. Compliance & Risk: Ensure procurement policies and approval processes are consistently followed.
Conduct quality checks to identify errors and compliance risks. Promote governance, controls, and risk awareness across the team. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for procurement escalations.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Provide timely updates and address stakeholder concerns. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and reduce manual effort.
Support automation initiatives and system enhancements, including SAP improvements. Assist in training team members on new processes, systems, and tools. Key Challenges: Managing procurement operations across globally distributed teams and multiple time zones.
Balancing high transaction volumes while maintaining accuracy and compliance. Driving adoption of process improvements and automation initiatives. Maintaining service levels during periods of peak workload and organizational change.
Ensuring data integrity across multiple procurement systems. Key Relationships: Internal: Central Purchasing Manager Purchasing Team Leaders Cross-functional stakeholders within Procurement, Finance, and Operations External: Suppliers External service providers Experience & Qualifications: Mandatory: Minimum 5 years of Procurement experience. Experience leading remote or distributed teams.
Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes. Hands-on SAP experience. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Preferred: Experience with process automation tools such as RPA or workflow solutions. Lean Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement experience. Experience managing stakeholders across multiple regions.
