Workforce Development Specialist

Location: Boise, ID โ€“ Onsite
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour on W-2

Position Overview

We are seeking a Workforce Development Specialist to support training, documentation, and learning systems within a manufacturing environment. This position will work closely with subject matter experts and workforce development teams to maintain technical documentation, training records, learning content, and employee training assignments.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical documentation background, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with structured training or document management processes. Experience within semiconductor or manufacturing environments is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Documentation Management

  • Monitor documentation change requests and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Create, update, format, and maintain technical documents using established standards, templates, and styles.
  • Edit and proofread documentation for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to review and maintain accurate technical content.
  • Ensure documents are stored in the appropriate repositories and follow established data management requirements.
  • Maintain accurate information within documentation management systems.
  • Support ongoing document control and revision activities.

Learning Management System Administration

  • Support day-to-day administration of the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Monitor and follow up on employee training requests.
  • Audit training assignments and content for accuracy and completion.
  • Update training materials and assignments as requirements change.
  • Create and manage on-the-job training (OJT) certifications associated with controlled documents.
  • Follow established learning administration and training content standards.
  • Maintain accurate training records and system data.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of technical documentation experience supporting new systems, equipment, processes, or similar technical environments.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with subject matter experts to develop and maintain accurate content.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple documentation and training requests simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical documentation experience within the semiconductor industry.
  • 2+ years of experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience administering or supporting a Learning Management System.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting controlled documentation, training records, or OJT certification programs.
