About This Role We regularly deliver WordPress projects for SMB and enterprise clients. We need a developer who can build custom themes from Figma files, develop bespoke plugins, and keep site performance in the top Core Web Vitals scores. This is a contract role with ongoing work available.

Key Responsibilities Build custom WordPress themes from design files (Figma/XD) Develop bespoke plugins and WooCommerce extensions Optimise site performance — Core Web Vitals, caching, CDN Manage deployments via Git and staging/production workflows Integrate third-party APIs and marketing tools Ensure sites meet WCAG accessibility and security standards Provide technical documentation for client handoff Requirements 3+ years WordPress development Custom theme development from scratch (no page-builders) Experience with ACF, WooCommerce, or multisite Git workflow familiarity Bonus: headless WordPress / Gutenberg block development Remote contract Flexible hours Competitive hourly rate What We'll Ask To ensure this role is the right fit, we'll ask about: Share a link to a WordPress site you built from scratch and describe the technical approach.
