Wordpress Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to own the development, performance, and evolution of our marketing website and campaign infrastructure. The ideal candidate combines deep WordPress expertise with a strong understanding of performance marketing, SEO, and marketing automation integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development, maintenance, and optimisation of the company website built on WordPress
• Build and deploy high-converting campaign landing pages with fast load times and mobile-first design
• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to marketing requirements
• Implement tracking, tag management, and analytics solutions (Google Tag Manager, GA4, Meta Pixel)
• Integrate the website with CRM, marketing automation, and lead capture tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Mailchimp, etc.)
• Ensure website security, uptime (99.9%+), and performance including Core Web Vitals compliance
• Collaborate with the UI/UX designer to implement designs with pixel-perfect accuracy
• Lead code reviews, technical documentation, and CI/CD pipeline management
• Mentor junior WordPress developers and provide technical direction

Requirements

• 7–10 years of WordPress development experience, with advanced custom theme and plugin development skills
• Expert proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript / jQuery
• Experience with page builders such as Elementor, Divi, or Gutenberg block editor
• Strong understanding of website performance optimisation, caching, and CDN configuration
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party marketing/CRM platforms
• Familiarity with MySQL database management and query optimisation
• Version control proficiency (Git) and experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of SEO technical requirements (schema, sitemaps, canonical tags, crawlability)
• Experience with hosting environments: WP Engine, Kinsta, AWS, or similar
