Web Engineer

Company: Blue Spire About the Role Blue Spire is seeking a skilled and motivated Angular Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Angular-based web application development along with experience building and supporting backend microservices using Node.js and/or Java Spring Boot . This role offers the opportunity to work on scalable, customer-facing digital platforms in a collaborative Agile environment.

Prefer candidates with experience in authentication and authorization flows (login, one-time passcodes, etc.) Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain modern web applications using Angular . Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of Node.js and/or Java-based microservices deployed in containerized environments. Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs and backend services.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture within a Scrum Agile framework . Participate in cross-team code reviews and promote engineering best practices. Support release planning, preparation, deployment, and post-release activities for customer-facing functionality.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues while ensuring application reliability and performance. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation, and platform modernization efforts. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 6+ years of experience building and releasing Angular-based web applications. 3+ years of experience working within a microservices architecture.

Hands-on experience with backend frameworks such as: Express.js or Fastify (Node.js) Spring Boot (Java) Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and distributed systems. Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases . Experience with: Git-based source control Package repositories Automated code quality and security scanning tools CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with containerized environments and modern software delivery practices.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the banking, fintech, or financial services domain. Exposure to microfrontend architectures .

Experience working with cloud-native applications and container orchestration platforms. Understanding of secure application development practices and enterprise-grade software delivery.
