Warehouse worker – material handling

• The candidate must be capable of loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
• The candidate must ship orders.
• The candidate must weigh materials and goods.
• The candidate must pack and unpack goods.
• The candidate must sort, crate, and stack goods.
• The candidate must organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be collaborative.
• The candidate must have a positive attitude.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate must be flexible.

Work setting

• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate should work in the warehouse can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.
• The candidate should work in a retail setting, buying goods from a manufacturer or wholesaler and selling them to customers in small quantities.

• The candidate must have prior experience operating dollies and hand trucks.
