The Position

We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Leading Hand to join our busy Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) in Eastern Creek.

This is a hands‑on leadership role within our Inbound/Outbound operation, helping ensure orders are picked, staged, loaded and despatched accurately and on time.

Our RDC is a high-volume, fast-paced environment, so we need someone who can lead from the front, keep the team focused and make sure the freight keeps moving.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting the Inbound/Outbound warehouse operation
  • Keeping the team on track during busy periods and changing priorities
  • Providing management with end of day reporting
  • Operating forklifts and materials handling equipment when required
  • Ensuring freight is handled, staged and loaded/unloaded safely and correctly
  • Monitoring productivity, accuracy and overall team performance
  • Maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping
  • Coaching and supporting team members on the floor
  • Identifying issues or bottlenecks and taking action to keep the operation moving
  • Communicating with warehouse management and other operational teams to ensure a smooth handover and flow of freight

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, Leading Hand, 2IC or senior warehouse operator
  • Strong experience in Outbound, Despatch or Distribution Centre operations
  • A current Forklift Licence – essential
  • Experience working in a busy, high-volume warehouse
  • A strong understanding of loading, despatch and warehouse safety
  • The ability to lead by example and work alongside the team
  • Good communication and people skills
  • The confidence to allocate work, set expectations and keep people accountable
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and adapt when priorities change
  • A reliable, proactive and team-focused attitude
