We're seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse team. In this role, you'll help ensure our products get to the right place, at the right time, and in the right condition.
About the Role
As a Shipping Clerk, you'll be responsible for handling outgoing shipments, ensuring that orders are packed accurately, labeled correctly, and shipped on schedule. You'll work closely with other departments like warehouse, customer service, to support a smooth shipping process. This position is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and a commitment to dependable, accurate work in a face-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and pack outgoing shipments according to company and customer requirements
Create and print shipping labels and documentation (BOL's, invoices, packing slips, etc.)
Schedule pickups with carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.)
Verify outgoing orders against shipping documents for accuracy
Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and restock as needed
Work closely with warehouse, customer service, and receiving departments
Keep work area clean and organized; follow all safety guidelines
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
6+ months of experience in shipping, warehousing, or a related role
Familiarity with shipping systems (UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, etc.) is a plus
Basic computer skills (email, printing labels, entering data)
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Ability to lift up to 45lbs and stand for extended periods
Dependable and punctual with good communication skills
Nice to Have
Forklift certification or willingness to be trained
Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems
Knowledge of domestic and international shipping process
Schedule Monday-Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (3-day weekends!)
Pay $20.00 per hour, based on experience
