Warehouse Shipping Clerk
Location: Roanoke, TX
Shift: 1st Shift | 7:30am to 4:00pm Mon-Fri
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.00hr
Summit Staffing is hiring for a growing manufacturing company in Roanoke, TX!
We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Shipping Clerk to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. This position is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory control, and safely operating a forklift to support production and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced working in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and verify outgoing shipments for accuracy.
Load and unload trucks using a sit-down forklift.
Receive incoming materials and inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies.
Transport raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
Stage materials for production and shipping.
Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and packing slips.
Perform inventory transactions and cycle counts using an ERP/WMS system.
Operate RF scanners to track inventory movement.
Maintain an organized warehouse and shipping area.
Complete daily forklift inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
Follow OSHA guidelines and all company safety procedures.
Work closely with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to meet customer delivery schedules.
Job Requirements:
2+ years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
Previous sit-down forklift experience required.
Reach Truck experience
Forklift certification preferred (or ability to become certified).
Experience with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar is a plus).
Ability to operate RF scanners and maintain accurate inventory records.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Manufacturing or industrial warehouse experience.
Experience with domestic and LTL freight shipments.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
