Warehouse Operative

VG MSO Ltd have been in operation for 149 years providing complete sustainable packaging solutions from design through to delivery of cartonboard packaging and labels to the food, drink, pharmaceutical and healthcare markets.  We currently employ 170+ people at our factory on the Castlereagh Road in Belfast and are part of the Van Genechten Packaging Group which spans 15 sites across the UK and Europe.

We have an opportunity in our Warehouse and Distribution department to join a well established team of warehouse professionals in a successful, established and growing organisation as an Die Cutting.

Main Tasks of job

Off loading, receipt, storage and stock control of raw materials

Order assembly and preparation of goods for despatch

Loading collection vehicles for delivery

Data input of stock records and production of computer generated reports

Waste segregation and waste control duties

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated within the overall Business Objectives of the Company.

Essential Requirements

• Counterbalance Fork Lift training and certification  
• Previous relative experience working in a similar role within a busy warehouse
• A methodical approach to work
• The ability to work on own initiative Clerical accuracy Good standard of IT skills

Desirable Requirements

• Very Narrow Aisle Fork Lift training and certification
• Experience working in a similar role within the printed packaging industry
• GCSE Math’s and English grade C or above (or equivalent)
• Previous driving experience gained within a working environment
• Experience of Waste Segregation and sound housekeeping practices
• Full Clean Driving License
