Warehouse Operative

An interesting job opportunity has arisen at City Auctioneering for a warehouse operative with forklift experience due to the increase in business. We are a small commercial auction house for over 25 years based in Gloucestershire. We are a small team with the directors fully involved and we all work together bringing each others experiences and expertise to an ever-changing market and clients requirements. In house training of the skill sets of the business with be given.

Suitable applicants should possess the following: - 1. An enquiring and practical mindset 2. A can-do attitude including working to deadlines

3. Car owner driver, there is no public transport available 4. An understanding of online selling is an advantage 5. Enjoy meeting people and working in a small team

6. Literate and numerate 7. Fantastic work/life balance 8. Opportunity to progress within the company.

The job comprises:- 1. Warehouse work - Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm, with 30-minute lunchbreak 2. Manual handling for sale preparation

3. Able bodied, as some lifting is required, very physical job 4. Dealing with a wide assortment of items from car spares to electrical stock, ever changing, no two days the same. 5. To write clear and precise descriptions for catalogue. Training will be given on the inhouse description style (neat handwriting is prefered).

6. Ability to work to strict deadlines 7. Photographing items for online sale catalogue 8. Communicating with buyers face to face to manage their collection of goods after the auctions

9. Carefully selecting the clients items and ensuring they are correctly and safely packaged ready for courier collection. Full C.V. required including a list of outside interests. Hourly wage open to discussion and, dependent on experience.
