About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly efficient and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee their distribution center supporting the FMCG sector in East London . This critical role involves managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and dispatch, while optimizing efficiency and minimizing costs. You will lead a dedicated warehouse team, implement best practices, and ensure the safe and timely handling of products.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize all warehouse functions, including inventory control, receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows to maximize space utilization and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and operational procedures.
• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
• Implement and maintain inventory management systems to ensure accuracy and reduce stock discrepancies.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and sales teams to meet operational demands and customer service levels.

Requirements

• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in warehouse management or logistics operations, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a diverse team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience implementing operational improvements.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
