Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations within a food processing/manufacturing environment located near Brampton, ON.
Pay - $100,000 $130,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO and FEFO principles.
  • Manage the handling and storage of raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products.
  • Monitor temperature-controlled and refrigerated storage areas as required.
  • Ensure warehouse activities follow applicable food safety, hygiene, HACCP, GMP, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with production, purchasing, logistics, and transportation teams.
  • Conduct regular inventory and cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, storage capacity, material flow, and operating efficiency.e
  • Lead, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse employees, forklift operators, and material handlers.
  • Maintain accurate receiving, shipping, inventory, and traceability records.
  • Monitor key warehouse performance indicators, including inventory accuracy, order accuracy, productivity, shrinkage, and on-time shipments.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging supplies.
  • Ensure appropriate identification and segregation of allergens, damaged goods, expired products, and non-conforming materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Support audits and maintain records related to food safety and operational requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and costs, and minimize product damage and downtime.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3 5+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably within food processing, food manufacturing, or FMCG.
  • Experience leading and supervising warehouse teams.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, FIFO/FEFO, traceability, and product handling.
  • Knowledge of Canadian food safety requirements and Preventive Control Plans (PCP).
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety, and sanitation practices.
  • Experience using ERP, WMS, or other inventory management systems.
  • Forklift or warehouse equipment experience is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work flexible or rotating shifts when required.
