Warehouse Manager

Overview

This role will be responsible for all aspects of the warehouse functions of a commissary kitchen including shipping, receiving, loading dock and supervising the 100 person warehouse department staff to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Job Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a warehouse/food production setting
• Strong leadership skills and ability to supervise a diverse workforce
• Demonstrated decision-making ability and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities & Duties

• Supervise, motivate, and train teams within a multi-department operation
• Ensures freshness of products by closely adhering to rotation and dating policy as needed
• Control ordering; avoid over/under stock, maintain accurate inventory while minimizing product loss
• Adhere to all applicable Federal, State, local and industry regulations that pertain to warehouse operations
• Instruct in the proper use of equipment to ensure safety and sanitary standards are maintained
• Facilitate coordination and communication between all department to promote consistency and organization
• Handle internal issues quickly and efficiently
• Support the needs of all store locations in a timely fashion
• Work on special warehouse/company initiatives & projects as needed
• Follow accepted company policies and procedures in a “hands on” management style
