Job Description

Warehouse Coordinator โ€“ Take Ownership of Your Own Warehouse

This is an opportunity to become the go-to person for the warehouse, managing stock, coordinating incoming and outgoing freight, liaising with Head Office, and ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently every day.

You won't have a team of people reporting to you. But you will be responsible for making sure the warehouse runs properly.

If you're someone who likes having responsibility, takes pride in their work and doesn't need someone looking over their shoulder, this could be the role you've been looking for.

About the Company

Located in Loganholme, our client is a growing and successful business within the timber flooring industry.

A Melbourne based company, moving into Queensland with continued growth, they are looking for an experienced warehouse professional who can take ownership of their warehouse and become a key part of the business.

This is a varied role where no two days will necessarily be the same. You'll work closely with Head Office, Sales, and Operations to ensure stock is accurate, orders are dispatched on time, and the warehouse is organised and running efficiently.

What You Will Be Responsible For

As the sole person responsible for the day-to-day warehouse operation, you will take ownership of:

Managing all incoming stock from local and overseas suppliers, including unloading, and putting away containers

Maintaining accurate stock levels and inventory records

Conducting regular stocktakes and investigating stock discrepancies.

Monitoring stock quantities and identifying when replenishment is required.

Coordinating local and interstate freight and dispatch

Preparing and organising customer orders for dispatch

Picking and packing orders when required

Liaising with Head Office regarding stock, purchasing, availability and operational requirements

Supporting the Sales and Operations teams with stock availability and accuracy

Handling customer enquiries both face-to-face and over the phone

Ensuring the warehouse is organised, clean, safe and professionally presented.

Managing the daily workflow and prioritising competing demands

Identifying issues before they become problems and taking action to resolve them.

Ensuring workplace health and safety procedures are followed.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has already demonstrated they can run a warehouse or stores operation with minimal supervision.

You will ideally have:

Previous experience in a Warehouse Coordinator, Warehouse Supervisor, Senior Store person, Warehouse Lead, or similar role

Strong stock control and inventory management experience

Experience coordinating freight and dispatch.

The ability to liaise confidently with Head Office, suppliers, customers and internal teams.

Excellent attention to detail

Good computer and administration skills

Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner

The ability to work independently and make decisions.

A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.

Good numeracy and literacy skills

A strong understanding of workplace safety

The ability to lift products up to approximately 20kg.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who takes ownership.

You won't be waiting for someone to tell you what needs doing. You'll look at the warehouse, identify what needs attention and get it done.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being accountable, staying busy and knowing that the warehouse is running properly because they made it happen.

What's On Offer?

Excellent salary package, negotiated according to experience.

Monday - Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm

Genuine autonomy and ownership

A varied role - not just picking and packing.

A growing and successful business

The opportunity to make the warehouse your own and have a genuine impact.
