VP Operations

Overview

Direct and oversee overall operations and site management of Distribution Centers (DCs). Implement and enforce procedures that ensure a safe, efficient, service‑oriented, and profitable department.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the senior site leader in market DCs, reporting directly to RVP Operations and coordinating with the Area President.
• Establish and execute long‑term operational objectives aligned with business goals, integrating shipping, receiving, transportation, purchasing, and sales.
• Drive profitable operations by controlling inventory, losses, accidents, safety, and costs while identifying synergies and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and company programs, implementing safety, security, maintenance, and ergonomics initiatives.
• Delegate responsibility to managers to meet productivity goals, enforce policies, oversee performance, and administer discipline and training.
• Participate in industry networks and the Operations Knowledge Center to share and gain best‑practice knowledge.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the manager.

Education & Experience

• Education: 4‑year degree preferred (High School Diploma or GED with equivalent experience acceptable).
• Experience: 10+ years in operations management, with a minimum of 5 years in management roles across distribution functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• D.O.T. regulations, OSHA, HAACP, and related safety regulations.
• Labor Relations, customer service, budgeting, and cost control.
• Recruitment, interviewing, and hiring skills.
• Proficient PC skills.

Compensation

Base salary range: $130,000 – $215,000, plus an annual incentive bonus up to 30% of base salary.
