VP of Antibody Development

VP Antibody Development Cardiff, UK - Hybrid Antiverse are building something genuinely different in AI-driven antibody drug discovery, and this is a key scientific leadership hire at the centre of it. They’re looking for a VP of Antibody Development to take ownership of how programmes move from discovery through in vivo and into partner-ready assets, with a clear path through to CSO. This is a role for someone who wants real scientific influence, not just oversight.

What you’ll actually be doing Owning progression of internal and partnered programmes from hit through to in vivo validation Defining and prioritising pipeline strategy, making clear, data-driven decisions Designing and overseeing in vivo studies, working closely with CROs Translating in vitro data into strong in vivo hypotheses Driving optimisation to ensure assets are genuinely ready for downstream development and partnering Managing CROs across timelines, budgets and quality Working closely with leadership on broader scientific strategy Acting as a key external face of the science, with partners, investors and the wider network Playing a big part in building out the team over time What they need 12–20+ years in antibody therapeutics or biologics R&D PhD in a relevant field Proven track record of progressing programmes Strong experience working with and managing CROs Comfortable in a fast-moving, early-stage environment Someone who wants to step into a bigger leadership role over time Why it’s worth a conversation You’re not just running programmes here, you’re shaping how the pipeline is built and progressed.
