Role

As the Vice President of HR Technology, Analytics and End User Experience, you will build and lead the future of HR technology, AI, and workforce intelligence at a global Fortune 500 technology company. Specifically, you will partner with IT and HR leaders to develop and deliver an end-to-end HR technology roadmap centered on high impact technology and human centered design, as well as translate workforce data into actionable insights, for WD’s rapidly evolving industry and global workforce.

In this role, you will report to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and lead a team of HR Analytics, Systems and HR Business Process Owners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish enterprise HR AI and digital transformation strategy; identify and implement high-impact HR automation and AI use cases; oversee AI experimentation and scale successful pilots within the HR team. Partner with Legal and IT on AI governance
  • Architect the future of our HR platform, integrating intelligent technology with human-centered design
  • Develop Understanding of End User Needs — conducting user research, usability testing, and feedback loops with employees and managers to continuously improve HR digital products
  • Manage HR technology as a product portfolio — prioritizing solutions, sunset legacy tools, and make build vs. buy decisions
  • Define and execute the systems and processes needed for employee experience technology strategy (incorporating employee and manager personas) and the short- and long-term HR tech roadmap to attract, hire, develop, and grow talent
  • Integrate HR systems into a seamless digital ecosystem, designing for outcomes that leverage AI possibilities
  • Bring the workplace and workforce technology together to deploy a digital mindset and drive unified experience with employees at the core.
  • Develop a multi-year workforce analytics strategy and translate workforce data into actionable insights
  • Build and scale the HR analytics function – from data infrastructure to executive-level insights
  • Develop HR analytics capabilities — dashboards, workforce planning models, predictive insights
  • Guide global, matrixed organizations through transformational shifts, moving HR technology from operational delivery to strategic solutions that enable differentiation and operational excellence.
  • Deliver employee experience platforms, advanced analytics capabilities, and large-scale digital transformations across the full talent lifecycle
  • Partner with HR Talent Development, Talent Acquisition and FP&A teams to build workforce planning capabilities with senior leadership team
  • Drive process standardization and continuous improvement across HR service delivery
  • Design a multi-year enterprise people strategy, translate employee and stakeholder needs into roadmaps that scale, and partner with IT leadership to drive platform decisions that improve adoption, usability, and enterprise efficiency
  • Develop an employee listening strategy- linking together the various internal and external disparate data sets that reflect how potential, current, and former employees feel about WD
  • Serve as executive advisor to CHRO and HR leadership team
  • Lead & develop a high-performing team of 20+ HR Analytics, Systems, and HR Business Process professionals across a globally distributed organization, fostering a culture of innovation, results and excellence
  • Manage and optimize $2M+ HR technology portfolio budget, including vendor contracts and licensing ensuring cost-effective delivery
  • Own HR data governance framework, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, and APAC equivalents); partner with Legal, IT, and Finance to define standards for HR data access, retention, and usage

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in HR technology, analytics and digital transformation
  • Experience implementing AI-enabled tools & automation
  • Proven product, technology, and analytics executive
  • Prior Senior Director, VP-level or equivalent leadership in a global, complex organization
  • Experience as a strategist and thought leader in employee experience and HR Technology
  • Demonstrated background integrating enterprise HR systems
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into business recommendations
  • Strong people leader, effective at managing diverse, high impact teams
  • Goal-oriented, accountable, and passionate about driving results
  • Demonstrated success in developing progressive global strategies and driving continuous improvement of people experiences in a global workplace
  • Experience successfully designing, facilitating, and leading people and business transformation activities with executive stakeholders and cross-functional ecosystem partners
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills across levels with an ability to persuade, influence, and build enthusiasm and commitment
  • Proven track record of influencing, leading, and facilitating large scale strategic initiatives with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Strong business insight and acumen with a keen ability to quickly assimilate new information and leverage data and analysis to facilitate business decisions
  • Experience working and navigating globally with direct experience in Asia Pacific cultures and business markets. Experience in Japan, Thailand, India or Malaysia is a plus
  • Demonstrates an inclusive leadership style with an emphasis on results and developing high performing team members
  • An agile and continuous learner with personal resilience and an ability to lead through ambiguity and change
  • Deep expertise in platforms such as Workday, ServiceNow, or similar HCM suites
  • Experience in high-tech, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus
  • Location - The position requires an individual be located at our San Jose headquarters.
