Our client is a deep‑tech engineering services firm tackling problems without existing answers. Engineering is the product, and they’re hiring their first executive engineering leader to build the systems, structure, and leadership bench that will scale a team of exceptional problem‑solvers.
The Role:
A builder’s mandate: elevate a technically elite group into a mature engineering organization. Create process that enables delivery without dulling the work. Drive adoption through coaching, not command. This is professional‑services engineering - where utilization, margin, and client expectations matter as much as technical excellence.
What You Bring
- 10+ years leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Experience in a hardware consultancy, design firm, or R&D services environment
- Hands‑on depth across firmware, electronics, and physics
- Proven ability to develop leaders, not just manage talent
- Strong commercial awareness of project‑based engineering work
