Job Description
RoyaltySource, part of the AUS family, is seeking a transformational commercial leader to help modernize and scale one of the most established brands in intellectual property intelligence.
Location: Hybrid / Remote available in these states: Colorado, DC, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Washington with periodic travel.
Budgeted Salary Range: $140,000โ$175,000 annually plus eligibility for a bonus tied to annual revenue growth.
Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for bonus compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Position Summary
The VP, Business Development, will serve as the commercial leader responsible for developing and executing RoyaltySource's business development, sales, marketing, and strategic growth initiatives.
This individual will work directly with the CEO of AUS Inc. to build a scalable commercial engine capable of supporting long-term recurring revenue growth while preserving the trusted relationships and market credibility RoyaltySource has established over more than three decades.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring equal parts strategy and execution. The successful candidate must be comfortable developing growth strategies, engaging enterprise clients, building partnerships, implementing modern CRM and sales technologies, attending industry conferences, advancing thought leadership, and personally driving business development activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute RoyaltySource's commercial growth strategy.
- Create annual sales and division revenue plans aligned with company objectives.
- Identify and prioritize new market opportunities across corporate, legal, consulting, valuation, licensing, and intellectual property sectors.
- Develop strategic partnerships that expand RoyaltySource's market presence.
Business Development
- Personally lead enterprise business development activities.
- Build relationships with executives across Fortune 1000 companies, consulting firms, law firms, valuation firms, universities, and technology organizations.
- Develop key account strategies for strategic clients.
- Manage complete sales pipeline from prospect identification through contracting.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives including website modernization, SEO, LinkedIn strategy, webinars, and thought leadership.
- Position RoyaltySource as a recognized authority within the intellectual property and licensing community.
- Plan conference participation, speaking opportunities, and industry connections.
Revenue Operations
- Implement disciplined CRM processes and sales reporting.
- Establish Salesforce, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and AI-enabled workflows.
- Develop KPI dashboards measuring pipeline, conversion, revenue, customer acquisition, and client retention.
- Work closely with AUS Inc. executive leadership on long-term growth strategy.
- Assist in evaluating new products, services, and adjacent market opportunities.
- Support strategic planning, budgeting, and commercial forecasting.
- Build a high-performance commercial culture focused on accountability, innovation, and measurable results.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven success leading revenue growth, business development, and strategic market expansion
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in business development, consulting, professional services, SaaS, technology, legal services, financial advisory, valuation, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success creating and executing commercial growth strategies.
- Proven ability to develop new business and build executive-level relationships.
- Experience leading sales and marketing initiatives across multiple industries.
- Strong understanding of consultative selling and enterprise account management.
- Experience implementing CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com et. al.
- Familiarity with modern sales enablement tools including Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, AI research tools, and marketing automation platforms.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and executive relationship-building skills.
- Strong financial and analytical capabilities with experience managing forecasts, budgets, and revenue plans.
