IB Secondary Years Programme (MYP)

St Nicholas School is seeking a creative, collaborative and enthusiastic MYP Visual Arts Teacher to join our Secondary School team. The successful candidate will create engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that foster creativity, artistic skills and self-expression in young learners within the IB Secondary Years Programme (PYP).

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Visual Arts within the MYP framework
• Plan and deliver inquiry-driven, studio-based learning experiences
• Develop students’ artistic skills across a range of media and techniques
• Support creativity, reflection and visual communication
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support transdisciplinary learning
• Contribute to exhibitions, school events and the wider Arts programme
• Maintain a safe, organised and inspiring studio environment

Requirements

• Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education or related field
• Recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Visual Arts in primary or elementary education
• Familiarity with IB PYP is desirable
