Vice President, Product Innovation and Development About the Company Respected healthcare manufacturing company Industry Hospital & Health Care Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Vice President of Product Innovation and Development to spearhead the creation of a differentiated product portfolio within a regulated environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing product innovation and development strategies that align with growth and revenue goals. This executive will lead the end-to-end product development process, from concept to commercialization, and will be tasked with building and managing a balanced product pipeline. Key responsibilities include evaluating new technologies, markets, and partnership opportunities, as well as ensuring the integration of regulatory, quality, verification, and validation requirements. The role also involves driving competitive and market analysis, owning development budgets, and fostering a culture of innovation and execution excellence. The ideal candidate for this role at the company will have a PhD in engineering, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline, with an MBA being preferred. A minimum of 15 years of leadership experience in product development within regulated industries, particularly with a focus on medical devices, is required. The candidate should have a proven track record in commercializing complex products, scaling innovation pipelines, and possess strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, quality systems, and risk management. Executive-level communication, the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, and a data-driven, analytical approach to decision-making are essential.
