Job Description

The Vice President of Sales โ€“ North America Motors is responsible for leading the execution of the commercial strategy for the FLANDERS Motors business across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. This business includes new electric motor manufacturing, motor repair and rebuild services, motor distribution, field service, field engineering support, and equipment modernization such as excavator upgrades. The VP of Sales leads a structured sales organization that generates predictable revenue growth across both new equipment and service offerings.

This leader ensures that business development, account management, inside sales, and technical sales resources operate as a coordinated system that identifies opportunities, develops customer relationships, and converts opportunities into profitable orders. Success in this role is measured through revenue growth, profitability, pipeline strength, market expansion, and customer retention within the North American heavy industry and mining sectors. Key Responsibilities Commercial Strategy for Motors Business Execute the North American commercial strategy for the motors business Drive and facilitate growth across key offerings including new motor manufacturing, motor repair and rebuild services, distribution, field service, and modernization projects through close collaboration with the rest of the Flanders organization (Operations, Finance, HR, etc.) Identify target markets and priority customers within mining, metals, utilities, and heavy industry Expand FLANDERS' presence with strategic accounts and OEM partners Sales System Leadership Build and manage a structured sales organization including Business Development Managers, Account Managers, Inside Sales, and Technical Sales Engineers Define clear responsibilities and coordination between commercial roles Ensure consistent sales processes for opportunity qualification, proposal development, and deal progression Establish disciplined pipeline management and forecasting practices Pipeline and Revenue Management Own the health, accuracy, and progression of the North American sales pipeline Ensure adequate opportunity flow across new equipment and service opportunities Monitor conversion rates, sales cycle timing, and opportunity progression Identify and resolve bottlenecks that slow deal closure Strategic Account Development Strengthen relationships with key mining and heavy industry customers Expand service and repair opportunities within existing customer fleets Identify modernization and upgrade opportunities including excavator electrical upgrades Coordinate account strategy across service, engineering, and product teams Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Operations to align sales commitments with shop capacity and field service availability Work with Engineering and Product teams to position new motor solutions and modernization technologies Coordinate with Marketing to generate qualified leads and industry visibility Collaborate with Finance on pricing strategy and deal profitability Sales Team Leadership Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing commercial team Coach account managers and business development managers on complex industrial selling Establish performance expectations and accountability for commercial results Foster a culture of disciplined selling, collaboration, and customer focus Here's What You'll Need 15+ years of sales or commercial leadership experience in industrial equipment, motors, mining, or heavy industry sectors Strong understanding of electric motor manufacturing, repair, or rotating equipment markets Experience leading commercial teams responsible for both capital equipment and service sales Demonstrated ability to manage complex customer relationships and long-cycle sales Proven success growing revenue in industrial or mining markets Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field (MBA preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr
