The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, operation, and scaling of digital platforms that support global e-commerce, fan engagement, and data ecosystems. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong technical background, capable of overseeing a team of over 100 professionals in areas such as DevOps, platform infrastructure, product engineering, and data engineering. The VP of Engineering will be tasked with ensuring the reliable delivery of high-volume commerce and real-time digital experiences, as well as partnering with product and technology leadership to design and deliver secure, resilient, and scalable platforms. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Engineering include leading and developing the engineering team, scaling hiring and organizational design, and fostering a culture of technical excellence. The role also involves overseeing engineering processes related to cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, system reliability, and security. The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree in computer science or a related field, with a preference for an advanced degree, and at least 10 years of experience in a technical leadership role. Expertise in secure cloud services, CI/CD tools, containers, Kubernetes, and a strong background in both transactional and NoSQL databases is essential. Experience in the live events industry and relevant certifications such as CISSP and AWS Certified Solution Architect are also preferred.
