The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing all collective action work in this issue area, with a focus on uniting member organizations around shared challenges that require coordinated, multi-organizational solutions. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the member organizations, which serve a significant number of young people annually, are effectively engaged and benefiting from their alliance experience. The VP will be the primary point of contact for the CEOs of the member organizations, fostering deep relationships, and helping to maximize the impact of their membership. Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years' of senior leadership experience, with a strong preference for those with a background in K-12 education and nonprofit operating experience. The role demands an individual with an operator and executor mindset, capable of leading multiple initiatives simultaneously and driving real, measurable impact. The ideal candidate will be a practitioner-leader, with a deep understanding of K-12 systems and a proven track record in collective action and initiative design. Executive-level relationship building skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and lead with a collaborative, low-ego approach.
