Job Description
Blackfield Associates is partnered with a leading pharmaceutical wholesaler and global sourcing organisation in the United States in the search for a Vice President, Commercial.
This is a fully remote senior executive role with a 15% international travel requirement. The position reports is responsible for driving revenue growth across international export, domestic wholesaling, and 3PL / specialty distribution channels.
Other key responsibilities within the position will be to (not limited to):
- Develop and execute the global commercial, business development, sourcing, and distribution strategy, driving top‑line revenue across export, domestic wholesale, and 3PL / specialty distribution channels.
- Lead the expansion of the global supplier base and build direct manufacturer relationships with branded, generic, and specialty pharmaceutical companies, negotiating commercial supply agreements, pricing, and volume commitments.
- Oversee export sales strategy and international trade activities, ensuring full compliance with FDA, DEA, DSCSA, GDP, and international regulations, while monitoring geopolitical and supply‑chain risks.
- Act as a visible culture carrier and role model, building high‑performing commercial, sourcing, wholesale, and 3PL teams and embedding a collaborative, values‑led culture.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior commercial and sourcing leader with 10+ years in pharmaceutical wholesaling, specialty distribution, 3PL, or manufacturing, including exposure to export, domestic wholesale, and/or specialty distribution. You will have a strong track record of building direct manufacturer relationships, negotiating commercial supply agreements, and operating within highly regulated environments (GMP, GDP, FDA, DSCSA, DEA). You combine commercial and P&L acumen with confident people leadership, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine commitment to embedding a values‑led, cross‑functional culture.
You are comfortable with international travel (approximately 15%) and ready to lead a high‑impact global sourcing agenda.
