About The Role

As a VET Teacher, you'll inspire, engage and educate students through contemporary teaching practices and industry-informed learning. Working collaboratively with a team of education professionals, you'll plan, deliver and assess high-quality training while creating engaging learning experiences that prepare students for successful careers.

You’ll play a key role in tailoring programs to meet the diverse needs of learners across a range of qualifications, while ensuring compliance with vocational education standards.

Teaching responsibilities will primarily focus on units within the UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and UEE22020 Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) training packages. There may also be opportunities to deliver Fee-for-Service training for candidates with the appropriate experience and expertise.

To be successful, you'll demonstrate:

  • The ability to design and deliver innovative, high-quality teaching and learning programs across a variety of delivery modes, using contemporary teaching practices and technologies.
  • A commitment to creating inclusive, supportive and safe learning environments that cater to the diverse needs of students and clients.
  • Experience developing and continuously improving teaching, learning and assessment resources that meet quality and compliance requirements.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, contribute ideas and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • A proactive approach to your own professional development, maintaining contemporary VET practice and current knowledge of the electrical industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a genuine commitment to student success, mentoring and delivering an outstanding student experience.
  • Confidence using digital technologies, including Microsoft Office applications, email and Learning Management Systems.
  • Current practical industry experience within the electrical sector that enables you to bring real-world knowledge into the classroom.

Qualifications

Essential to this role:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or equivalent
  • Qualified ‘A’ Grade Electrician with significant experience

Would be desirable:

  • Solar Accreditation or Qualifications and or Experience
  • Data Communications Qualifications and or Experience
  • Diploma in VET / Adult Education
