Venue Beer & Wine Specialist and Bottle Department Manager

A unique management opportunity for someone passionate about craft beer, wine and creating an exceptional customer experience.

We're looking for a Beer & Wine Specialist Manager to join our management team and take a leading role in shaping our multi-venue offering, with a particular focus on craft beer and wine.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a genuine passion for craft beer, a strong interest in wine, and wants to turn that enthusiasm into a rewarding management career. Whether you have formal wine qualifications, are currently studying to become a sommelier, or simply have an exceptional knowledge and enthusiasm for beer and wine, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our bottleshop.A key part of the role will also be managing and developing our craft beer tap program and wine lists across two venues, working directly with breweries, wineries and suppliers to create an exciting, constantly evolving drinks offering.

Our annual Beer & Wine Festivals and various tap takeovers, wine dinners andevents throughout the year, provide an opportunity for creativity, leadership and collaboration with the team as a whole.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, developing and motivating the bottleshop team

Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming customer experience

Managing stock, ordering, merchandising and inventory

Developing and maintaining an outstanding range of craft beer and wine

Taking ownership of the craft beer tap program and drinks lists across our two venues

Selecting and rotating beers to maintain an exciting and diverse tap offering

Building strong relationships with breweries and craft beer suppliers

Sourcing new, seasonal and interesting beers

Managing tap availability, pricing, margins and stock levels

Coordinating keg movements and beer changes between venues

Staying up to date with emerging craft beer and wine trends

Identifying new products and opportunities to continually improve our offering

Helping educate the team and customers about the products we stock

Monitoring sales, margins and overall department performance

Working closely with the wider management team on business initiatives, events and promotions

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has a genuine passion for craft beer

Has a strong interest and developing knowledge of wine

Ideally is studying, or interested in studying, wine or sommelier qualifications

Loves discovering new products and keeping up with industry trends

Enjoys talking to customers and sharing product knowledge

Is confident leading and developing a team

Is organised, proactive and commercially minded

Has strong communication and relationship-building skills

Enjoys working as part of a collaborative management team

Have a minimum of 5 years industry experience.

Formal wine qualifications aren't essential. We're more interested in your passion, curiosity, product knowledge and desire to continually learn.
