Vehicle Technician (85091) Swords, Republic of Ireland

Salary: EUR54000 - EUR62000 per annum

This position would suit a qualified technician who enjoys diagnosing faults, maintaining vehicles to the highest standards, and working in a professional workshop environment where technical ability is genuinely valued. Main Duties:

  • Complete routine servicing, maintenance, and repair work on a variety of passenger vehicles.
  • Carry out diagnostic procedures to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
  • Repair and replace components including brakes, suspension, steering, drivetrain, and engine systems.
  • Perform vehicle inspections and identify any additional repairs or maintenance requirements.
  • Interpret technical data and utilise diagnostic equipment to investigate more complex issues.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed in line with manufacturer specifications and workshop quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate workshop records, service documentation, and technician reports.
  • Work collaboratively with Service Advisors and fellow technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle turnaround.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures within the workshop.
  • Keep skills and technical knowledge current through ongoing training and development, including hybrid and electric vehicle technologies where applicable.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a dealership, independent garage, or commercial workshop environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities.
  • Experience using modern diagnostic equipment and workshop management systems.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
  • Experience working on hybrid or electric vehicles would be advantageous but is not essential.
