Validation Engineer

We are recruiting for a Maintenance and Validation Engineer for our clients, a manufacturing facility in South Kerry. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, calibration, and validation of production equipment, utilities, and facility systems in a regulated environment. The successful candidate will work closely with production, quality, and external contractors to support compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

This is a permanent position with some option for hybrid working week.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage preventative maintenance programmes for manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Coordinate equipment calibration activities and maintain associated records.
• Support the validation and qualification of equipment, utilities, and processes, including IQ, OQ, and PQ activities.
• Assist with the maintenance and validation of purified water, HVAC, and sterilisation systems.
• Liaise with external service providers and contractors for maintenance and qualification activities.
• Ensure engineering documentation, maintenance logs, and validation records are accurate and up to date.
• Procure spare parts and engineering consumables as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Assist during audits and inspections by regulatory authorities and customers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in maintenance, calibration, or validation within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements and validation principles.
• Experience with equipment qualification and utility systems is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small multidisciplinary team.

Salary is based on experience and open to negotiation and in the region of €50 - €65,000.
