Role overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong experience in UK Accounting and Financial Reporting. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in General Ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to ensure accurate financial records and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger accounting and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Execute Month-end, Quarter-end, and Year-end closing activities.
• Handle Intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
• Assist in internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and controls.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong knowledge of UK Accounting and Financial Reporting.
• Hands-on experience in:
• General Ledger Accounting
• Journal Entries & Accruals
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Month-end, Quarter-end & Year-end Close
• Intercompany Accounting & Reconciliations
• Variance Analysis
• Experience supporting internal and external audits.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP/Accounting systems and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in UK Accounting and Financial Reporting.

Note: Candidates with strong exposure to General Ledger, financial close activities, reconciliations, audit support, and UK accounting practices will be preferred.
