Job Description
- Work Term: Permanent
- Work Language: English
- Hours: 70 to 88 hours bi-weekly
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
TASKS
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment,
global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to
minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions - Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Load and unload goods
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage
and other equipment - Perform brake adjustments
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects
of vehicle - Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

- Air Brakes Endorsement
- Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
